EMF (19 March 2009) One of the architects of the June and November 2005 massacre, Bereket Simon was humiliated by Ethiopians in a secret meeting inside the London Woyane Embassy today, source told EMF. [Update: video & pictures on abbaymedia.com]
The secret meeting was interrupted by special police force after severe confrontations between TPLF gangs and brave Ethiopians inside and outside the TPLF embassy.
EMF source said that the meeting was called by the TPLF embassy in the UK only for selected person belonging to Tigrean ethnic group. “Not more than 20 tigreans appeared to the meeting” source said. “Few of them turn back as the event was being taped,” It added.
The confrontation began when several Ethiopians were denied entry to the meeting. Finally, the confrontation escalated and it ends up with police intervention.
EMF will post the video showing the confrontation soon.

Hi Brothers,
I want to share you what I have seen when I was in Mekelle. I was employed as a lecturer in Mekelle University. I have been there for four years. I had a number of reasons when I moved and joined mekelle university from my home university. The first and the important one was to see and understand how weyane is doing in tigray. The second was that Mekelle university has a good link with international universities for further education which has been favored of course by TPLF/EPRDF in the name of Ethiopia (but at last I found it doesn’t work for me). When I joined my department there was no one who came from other Ethiopian areas. All are from Tigray. Off course I didn’t have any problem to have those friends for that moment. But when time passed, things changed. The university smells TPLF in every way. Surprisingly, Mekelle University celebrates the TPLF establishment date more than any holidays in the calendar.
I am going to tell you very few of what I saw in the area which has been favored by Weyane:
There is one powerful collage called Mekelle Institute of Technology which built by the Ethiopian people. The Institute is to be the best technology institute in Ethiopia. The collage has the best Educational materials compared to other universities in Ethiopia. The collage is currently offering at bachelor level in the field of Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering. None one is allowed to be a staff unless Tigre who really love Tigray. Even a Tigre is not allowed if he/she thinks about National. No student is allowed to join the collage except the top students from Tigray. Yearly, the collage dean rounds in the region to interview top students even to know the feeling of students about Tigray. When I was a student, I heard that this collage is built to produce the future Tigrian scientists. This was really a surprised thing for me and I checked everything and it is correct now. They believe Tigrians need a separate collage where high professionals will be produced. But a little is known about the aim of this collage which has been built by Ethiopian people but for Tigrian people! Last year the collage graduated 120 students in these fields and you will be surprised where they are now. As soon as they graduate, 90 of the student joined and employed in EPRDF investigation and other top positions in Addis Ababa. 30 of them immediately joined EEPCo and ETC. When I saw these, it remembered me how they were treated for anti ethiopianism in their collage years to develop tribal feeling (Tigrian). Imagine what they are going to do being posted on the top positions in every direction having such a tribal feeling.
Economic and infrastructure development: I have the opportunity to visit all part of the country to compare. If you know, there is one big organization called Relief Society of Tigray (REST) which is led by PM. Melse Zenawi. It is one of the most funded organization in East Africa. Its capital is not in million but in Billion but it is very little know about this organization by the Ethiopian people. Its main objective is to bring development in Tigray in all direction. May be I couldn’t explain how big this organization is. There are a lot of companies which have been constructed by the poor Ethiopian people without any feasibility to be there. EFFORT, no one of its company is profitable except Messobo cement factory. But every year each factory is expanding may be by two-three folds of its initial capital. As a professional, I only say the cement factory is feasible for the area. Others are just waste of the country’s economy.
Rural electrification is started in Tigray. In if you see statistics, Tigray is the top in electric and telecommunications infrastructure. Though the natural and geographical condition fights with them, they are really putting a lot of money to develop the agricultural sector.
Like other Ethiopian areas, Technical school is there also. But technical school in tigray is different. In most of the country, students graduated from the technical school are left unemployed. But in tigray students called to form an association say like 10 per group and the regional office buys every equipment and give to the group for free to work and support themselves. After 4-6 years, depending on the capacity of the group, these students are supposed to be replaced by the other groups. If you noticed everywhere in the country, most of the constructions and other metal works, for example in condominium, are from tigray as they have already created the experience and capacity to win in every way.
Those tigres who believe on the current principle of the TPLF/EPRDF, you will have the answer from the Ethiopian people very soon.
I could have written more and more but when I think my four years in Mekelle, my mind bleeds and I stop writing. Dear Ethiopians, if we don’t take any measure! I am sure that we will lose our beloved country by tribal leaders.

I am disappointed you guys did not throw your shoes on him, when you are a leader you should always expect such individual protesting and interrupting, afterall you can not make every one happy. Beside in democracy we can not filter and keep these people out of the public gathering since they are entitled to their free right too. This is nothing, in democratically progressing country like ours disappointment is expected, since the culture of democracy is still young and misunderstood by many of the protestors. Actually such act is a good testemony and evidence indicating that ethiopia is heading and becoming to democratically tolerant nation.
It depends how you look and your conscious understanding to it, you can look it whether it is “half full” or “half empty” ? it is your choice, but reality is there regardless of your taking on it.

You said you were a lecturer in a University, but you could not have been a lecturer in a University since your grammar seemed a high school student writing. About the university, i am glad that Mekelle (The people of tigraye) finally got one university in their regions, all these years all universities and colleges were errected in only amhar region. You can not have no ligit society and democracy by educating only segement of society / amhara tribe, you have to educate all ethiopians without discrimination equally, that way justice will be served to all ethiopians equally.

I call our mothers,fathers, sisters and brothers in Europe to make April 2 the day neither Meles nor his host Gordon Brown will forget.
Let all who wanted TPLF to go, call their constituencies to come out and stand together on this day. We might be Oromos, Somalis, Tigreans, Amharas or other nationalities, we might be supporting different political organizations, but what we all agree is that we can not determine the future of our people freely as long as TPLF is on power.
The TPLF eighteen years of looting under the cover of article 39 is all clear for everyone. The number of conflicts among different nationalities is growing daily so do the exploitation of our resources by TPLF keeping us busy.
Our national resources loot is also flying to foreign banks and we have now hundreds or thousands millionaires for the first time in our country’s long history. What is left for more than seventy millions of our people is miserable life which is getting worst year to year.
The loan which is collected in our name didn’t improve our peoples lives and the future generation of Ethiopia will remain poor forced to pay back this illegal loan in our name.
We say No to Gordon Brown and his G20 participants that we are not going to pay money we have never received, rather fly back to your own bank in London , USA etc secretly by the same people taking the money in our name.
April 2 in London is the day of defiance and total rejection of TPLF by thousands of the Diaspora in Europe/America similar to the May 15, 2005 popular rejection of TPLF back home.
I am positive of what to come after witnessing the heroic action of Ethiopians at TPLF Embassy in London where , Bereket Simon, TPLF’s foul mouth, was caught conspiring.

What Abay-Tana has posted here is just the tip of the ice-berg.The weyannes are building their own ethnic region at the expense of Ethiopia to lay the ground for their declared intention of independence and statehood. Given all the atrocious crimes they are committing against Ethiopians, the weyannes would want to avoid justice by seceding from Ethiopia and letting others to do so. I am wondering that many Ethiopians do not seem to see this danger hovering over their head and danger. The process of dismanting Ethiopia as a country is already set in and continuing unabated while Ethiopians are bickering over minor issues affecting their ineffective and weak political parties.

Well done for the courageous individuals try to penetrate the meeting.
Unfortunatly, the meeting proceed as planned.
Some of us disguised very well and managed to sit inside to hear what the butcher said. It wasn’t much form him as there is nothing we don’t know about current economic or poletical realitis in Ethiopia.
There were some personal questions from opportunists such as taxfree allowance, delayed responce on land allocation and Ethiopians who applied their asylum as Eritrean and came to a dead end. All these questions not wellcomed by most of participants because they are too personal and no body was interested to hear.
There were some interseting questions on the floor: Bereket mentioned that the number of students were about 2 000 000 in 1991 and it has reached 16 000 000 at the moment. One of the participants told him that eventhough the number has raised this far the quality of education is low standard and the teachers are not well trained to do an excellent job. Bereket couldn’t deny this he said keeping the standard is not as easy as opening a new schools and equip them with desks and chairs.
One participant questioned him how much damage done to the country forigne currency asset because of his government involvement in Somalia?

Believe me there were good Ethiopians in the meeting, they were there to listen and question and take their own assesment but not to be fooled by any one. There wasn’t food or drink but there was information. Every one has a right to get information as long as the matter has a concern to him.

I am proud of you my bros/sis in Europe. Meles and his attack dogs can roam free and rape the occupied people of Ethiopia, but in the free world, we will confront them. They should understand that we will be there any where they go. As a result, our insistent struggle will eventually eat them up. They are foolish to underestimate our might. No matter how many rounds they fire at the innocent people of Ethiopia, it won’t be a match to our resistance.
On the next march, on April 2, please, make sure Gordon Brown understands that inviting mass murderers to such important event was a bad idea. If you express your outrage over this kind of behavior, he will think twice before playing buddy buddy with this dictator again.
Ethiopians in Britain need to get organised not only as Ethiopian political orgs but also as a voting block. Then your voices will be heard by the politicians there. In the last few years, here in US, I see a recognition by American politicians of our voting power. They attend our community centers. They ask for our votes, etc. When these politicians believe you can make a difference in their political future, they start listing to the concers of your own future.

From the arguments you give, you could not be an ethiopian. Ethiopians are not against Tigray. If they build a colleg it will be OK for most ethiopians. In fact Menghistu was planning to industrialize Tigray and Eritrea. The two proivnces need to be industrialized because of their meagre resources for agriculture. Regions like Gondar, Gojamma, Bale, Keffa etc will have to be developed more on the basis of large scale agricutural production.
There are some wolves in sheep’s clothing, who are distracting us from focussing on the main issues. We oppose TPLF-EPRDF not because they are ethiopians from Tigray region, but because of their policy. The policies of TPLF-EPRDF are against Ethiopia strategically. Ethiopia is landlocked at least for the time being by TPLF-EPRDF. But international law will not permit Ethiopia to be landlocked. Ethiopia’s sovereign territory is given to Sudan by TPLF-EPRDF, though Ethiopia defended it’s territories against the British colonial expansion and the British never dare to see it as a part of their colony. Sudan has taken it for the time being, which again is aginst International Law and Sudan will have to give it back to Ethiopia with billions of dolaars as compensation. TPLF-EPRDF facilitated the secession of Eritrea from it’s motherland. Mele Zenawi ordered the ethiopian army to be shooted by soldiers loyal to Zenawi. Zenawi clandelistinely supported the militarization of our former province. Zenawi still supports Eritrea clandestinely. Some sources say Zenawi is investing in Massawa and Asmara under a coded name. Issayas gets all the information about the ethiopian army unhindred via his netwerk of spies and Egypt, which has infiltrated Zenawi’s army. Thus the opposition should stand against Meles Zenawi and his henchmen. The people of Tigray are themselves victimes of Zenawi and his henchmen.
Please opppose those who are against people of Tigray in general. There are many non-tigrean people in TPLF-EPRDF who are running dogs of Meles Zenawi. People like Addisu Legesse and others are more criminal than any cadre from Tigray. Beyene Petros, Merara Gudina, even though in the opposition, have done damge to our unity and ethiopianism. It is unwise to criminalize the people of Tigray and to see the other people as victims. Officials from Oromo, Amara, Gurage etc are not less responsible for the present condition of our country

Minority groups of people view towards Amahara is so distorted specialy after 1991 (TPLF) propoganda. It seems to me, I dont think you saw a single Amhara in your life. Your message is all out of hate, and jelousy. They are very sucssuful in their education and you are not. you cant blaim your ignorance to Amhara people ! As a child if your family are poor farmers in a remote area or if they are one of those tribes who walk like animals in a jungle, it is not Amhara who did that! ask them who did that to them. their own primitive nature, they hate to change, they stick to their old habites like their ancesters.but,their is a light at the end of the tannal, change will come one at a time and step by step. dont blaim amhara for all your suffering, poverty,backwardness and starvation. Blaim yourself.

There is too much hate politics in the Oppositon. Some of you are fascistic. You are against the people of Tigray. This is very bad. The Oppositon should stop tribalism and racism. Otherwise no rational person will want to stand for the Opposition. The Meles-Issayas group has committed the most heinous crimes in the history of Africa. The Opposition is commiting the same crimes as Opposition. The Opposition is becoming more and more ethnofascist.
Some of the messages in this thread are too primitive. This gives the Woyanes look like angels. People will not come to the April 2 demonstration because of the ethnofascist nature of the Opposition. You have helped Meles and co. to stay in power by spreading hate politics, which makes Meles and co. much better than the Opposition.
