16 March 2009(EMF) Meles Zenawi arrived in London yesterday up on invitation by Gordon Brown. The motive is unclear why Brown suddenly invited him, but it wouldn’t be without reasons for him to shake blood-stained hand of the brutal dictator.
Zenawi has never been a friend of the west for his notorious crimes. He is rather a simple tool to accomplish their tasks.
Their master-slave relationship is manifested when the west orders him to invade Somalia and latter accused him of war crimes.
“He could be invited this time to Handover Al-Bashir to ICC,” Says a prominent opposition figure. “He would do that if he is paid.”
Given short of hard currency in Ethiopia, and Eritrea’s “unholy” alliance with the Sudan, this assumption is not unlikely. Many ‘Arab’ states of Africa never trust Zenawi. Analysts suspect that Al-Bashir’s Addis Ababa meeting has been cancelled for same reason.
EPRDF controlled media says the invitation is to hold prior consultations on the upcoming G20 summit and explore ways on how best to drive home to the rich and emerging nations Africa’s interests.
“Meles Zenawi is one of african dictators who should be arrested and brought before the international criminal court instead of being invited to wine and dine with world leaders”, says an oppoition figure.

By inviting the fascist dictator,Meles Zenawi, the British prime minister Gordon Brown has done a big blunder and is following in the footsteps of his predecesssor, Tony Blair. Ethiopians living in the United Kingdom and around shoud demonstrate and show their abhorrence against this foreign policy blunder. Ethiopians back home should also register their opposition to the British diplomats who have facilitated this visit by the image promoting the dictator.
March 16th, 2009 at 3:58 am
That doesn’t suprise me at all! Mr. Brown is not elected by the British public so it’s like a meeting between two un popular and democratically elected leaders. We all know melASS has been used to represent the image of POVERTY in the G8 meeting otherwise no one expect for such idiot man who came out first and says “the global economic crisis has no effect on the gaint Woyanw economy”. Shame on MelASS finally here he is with his empthy basket begging food aid! Kelettam maferia meri!

??
who is the “opposition figure” EMF??
simple journalism requires giving some kind of name, label or association instead of using the phrase “opposition figure” 10 times in one article.
please try to improve your journalism EMF.
we don’t want EMF to be like the childish and propaganda Woyane media like ENA
by the way, why are you saying meles is already in london yesterday?? how??
if meles is already in london, it is too late to protest his entrance. we have to reschedule the protest demonstration against woyane
March 16th, 2009 at 5:23 am
I want all Ethiopians in London to throw atleast one egg on him. Don’t miss though!
let him go back with yellow suit.
March 16th, 2009 at 6:37 am
The pro-Albanian Jungle communist Meles Zenawi could be invited to International Crime Court, right now.
March 16th, 2009 at 6:38 am
We need to applause for him at this point because it is a pride for our country to represent all Africans in this summit. He is the only African leader invited for this great event and will be written as history for Ethiopia. Although I opposed his dictatorship today my thumbs are up for him.
March 16th, 2009 at 7:04 am
pls change the word “arrives” to “arrived yesterday”
March 16th, 2009 at 7:46 am

March 16th, 2009 at 8:24 am
I don’t expect mach good things from western rulers.
Not a long time a go (40-50 years) they colonized the whole continent and sold the human being as a commodity, especially the Briton.
So, for there on interest, they do what ever it is. They’ve updated information what going on in our beloved country. They know Zenawi’s brutality. They see how the nation is suffering.
My fellow Ethiopian we’ve to fight our selves to be free. Don’t expect no thing from this pigs.
go to hell Zenawi
March 16th, 2009 at 9:36 am
How one smart man forced EMF and the entire ethiomedia scared and hide and become the prisoner of filtering and censoring articles. This guy already slowed the process of EMF and the entire ethiomedia`s discussion forum to halt.
Those who are undemocratic will always will be slowed and controlled through the backdoor.
No more instant posting. because i said so.

The invitation of Meles Zenawi shows that he is the most loyal servant of the west in Africa. His loyalty and total servitude to the west have made him the most disgraced dictator in the continent and has brought
a great deal of shame to Ethiopians and other Africans. The continued rule of this servant of the west is an indicator of the abominable state and failure of the Ethiopian society as a whole. Possibly it is because of the failure of other Ethiopians that the supporters of Meles Zenawi are telling us and stressing the supremacy of their ethnic group. The paralysed oppositon with no new and innovative method has just been the playing ball of Meles Zenawi. With the current deplorable state of affairs in Ethiopia,Meles Zenawi and his supporters should rejoice and prepare to rule Ethiopia for life.
March 16th, 2009 at 10:47 am
Mr Kassim Oumer, You are right.
March 16th, 2009 at 10:55 am
I am wondering how the diasporas’ political perception is very unreasonable and childish.
Does attacking meles via internet have any impact on the political ground of Ethiopia? NOPE!
Hulishim tedemiresh—Meles’n atakiym, yewere quat! lemagnoch, ye nech kit eyatebsh…..kemenor ena kemawurat wuchi…..useless.

It is sad to see the time and generations passed while coontry is ruled by corrupted and dictator leaders. They stay in power by the help of foreigners and killing and arresting those who oppose them inside.
Is it not UNFAIR, UNJUST and above all NOT right to let the country to be ruled by dictators who have no sense of being Ethiopian.

BE UNITED
There will not be any change to Ethiopian politics unless all Ethiopians unite in their common questions and answers, build a coalition no matter each political party’s differences. That’s when we Ethiopians can be heard and not when we are divided and shouting with different messages.
United we stand divided we fall. This is what both European union and the US waiting from Ethiopian opposition. What if MelASS falls? Do we have an opposition that can take over and led? Yes this is why the EU and US let melASS stay. It is not because they don’t now his criminal acts against it’s own people.
BE UNITED!

March 16th, 2009 at 2:37 pm
As a matter of fact this is a good opportunity to voice our concerns where there will be a world wide press coverage. Try to be as loud as possible. Make sure they hear you. Most importantly, make sure Brits understand that Gordon Brown is palling with one of Africa’s vicious killers.
Put a lot of emphasis on how we are not happy with the fact that Europeans in general and Brits in particular are supporting dictators in Africa. If they don’t start listening to us, our people’s hostility to the interests of the Brits in Africa will only grow. All we are asking them is to not encourage human rights abuse in our country by making killers and murderers members of their clubs. What is Meles Zenawi doing at G20? Tell me his significance. It will only embolden him to kill, rape and abuse more Ethiopians.
March 16th, 2009 at 2:43 pm
so hard to understand. howmany times did ethiopians rally in London alone? atleast 4-5 per year in the last 5 years alone. Dont these idiots understand?
How can we involve BBC or any other news media in UK?
Why do they keep quiet?? Even the private media doing no shit when it is about ethiopia!
Please answer me. Do we have to vandalize weyane property to be on news or TV or what??
March 16th, 2009 at 10:20 pm
Do not be full Meles has been called to discuss about Ogaden not about Ethiopia..forget it….the snakes or BRITISH.. do hate the unification of Ethiopia
March 16th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
Unity may be risky!
Many of talks of Unity. I also like that. But everytime you open up your doors to everybody including Tigreans, Meles takes advantage of that. He orders his agents to join the Unity party and cause havok from within or get them identified and killed. This happened many times and it will continue as long this criminal is in power. Take an example of CUD. Was it not a Unity party? Look how it was easy for them to pick each one of us and destroy us! In fact, Meles is happy when you do that - you will be an easy target - wherever you are. You guys don’t know how the Meles intellegence machinery can be used for such devilish act.
My suggestion is you better stick to smaller opposition groups that you trust each other and fight this gang from all directions. Because creating a coalition type party may not work for us! And I stress this.

Initiative message to pull all Ethiopians on to the track of UNITY and fight for freedom.

Why blame Amharas?
Who are these thugs blaming the Amhara tribe for this and that? When is the Amhara tribe benefitted from Ethioia? Among all those leaders who were really from Amhara tribe? Are you talking the Amarigna as a language or Amhara as a tribe? Okay, then change the language, which I guess you have already achieved that goal.
From time immemorial, name all those leaders and see where they came from. They are either mainly from Tigray/Eritrea. Take Ras Alula, Yohannes, etc. The rest may be either from Oromo or Amhara. Even Haile Selassie, contrary to his name, he is mainly from Oromo. While his Amhara tribe blood is 1/4th, his Oromo side is 3/4th. Ask your mom to name for you his dad, mom, etc. It goes without saying where Mengistu came from. And others.
Let us see at the grass root level. Most Amharas live in the coutryside. And these Amharas are the most neglected, impovershed and oppressed tribe in Ethiopia. I hear not only from Tigreans but also from Oromos as if being oppressed by Amharas but if you really see the situation at the ground, who has been suffering the most not only now even in the past?
As a field worker during Mengistu regime, I visited most of the southern Ethiopian peope (Oromo mainly) but when I compared their daily life and infrastructure to that of the Amhara area, it was far better and higher.
May be if some leaders have committed some crime in the name of Amhara, the responsibilty lies in them. But in general, Amharas are one of the most oppressed and polite people on earth.
So stop blaming Amharas every now and then. To me you are either ignorant (as you are) or trying to divert the on going campain aginst Meles into Amhara tribe issue. This is called cheap propoganda - of course, you are dumn cheap!

All the comments that are made here about PM Meles Zenawi are very IGNORANT and CHILDISH, but what do I was supposed to expect from a bunch of uneducated maniacs who their primary work experience is parking and airport cleaning? You all probably get so exhausted from work that pays so little and take out your frustrations on this website insulting the one intelligent man we have got on the African continent…Do I think he has made some mistakes? YES! I will be the first one to agree, however, I have some dignity to respect the man as the leader of the nation and in this case as the leader of the continent. You all take a chill pill!!! It will do you good!!!
April 3rd, 2009 at 6:25 pm
I can not believe what is been written about the PM Meles, I can understand your ideology difference from that of his. Yet, it really does not justify the words that are raised.
He is the Head of the state of Ethiopia and a very active member of AU as well as other International Organization. Since he is an outspoken leader of sub-Sahara he got the attention of G20 host to represent Africa.
At least we should be proud of our country for standing with the most influential leaders of the world in 21st century.
