EMF (23 January 2009) This leaked document reveals Meles Zenawi’s military and logistic support to the newly formed Islamist Ahlu Suna Wal Jamea group, aiming at destabilizing Somalia and to getting President Obama’s attention to the region.
According to report by AFP, following withdrawal of Zenawi’s forces from Somalia, people had enjoyed a brief period of peace and families, displaced by fighting in Mogadishu, have started returning.
Fresh fighting erupted soon between the Islamist forces of Ahlu Suna Wal Jamea and Al Shabab, through Zenawi’s destabilization strategy, a religious civil strife.
The Letter sent from Dissasa Diribssa, TPLF Ambassador in Kenya to vice-foreign minister Tekeda Alemu, confirms Zenawi’s military and logistic support to the new Islamist Ahlu Suna Wal Jamea against Al Shabab.
The TPLF thugs, who were telling their supporter to vote for the republican, John McCain opposed to Obama, during the US election campaign, seem very uncomfortable now with Obama’s inaugural speech regarding corrupt and criminal leaders; “To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.”
Moreover, Obama’s radical actions to change U.S. foreign policy has threatened Ethiopia’s brutal dictator, Meles Zenawi, who exploited the “War on Terror” (which comes to a sudden end) to win support from the Bush administration, despite regime’s crimes against humanity, war crimes and gross human rights abuses documented by International Human Rights Groups.

I think this is definately a national security issue. I don’t see any thing wrong about it. Who ever comes to power, will do same to keep its national security. Every state has a natural responsiblity to preserve its security. That is realpolitik.
I don’t think this news tells the story the editor wanted to tell us. Whether G7 or any power can do alike when it comes to power to keep the security of its country. I am ashmed that some of us are unable to distinguish national interest with woyane politics. I hate woyane and fight to decompose it, but there is also the issue of national interest. We should not facilitate the death of Ethiopia, just we hate woyane. We need to be responsible in some issues. Woyane must be kicked and it will be kicked, but Ethiopia remains for ever. And let’s give attention to Ethiopia’s interest. For good or bad weak Somalia is better for Ethiopia than a stronger one other wise the greater somalia agenda will break ethiopia in to picese. Dear all,
Things with the Obama Administration are not going too well for us. It is not only Hillary Clinton we have to worry about. We now have former Senator George Mitchell, the owner of the infamous lobbying firm (DLA Piper) to contend with. Obama is now considering Mitchell for the role of peace envoy to the Middle East. DLA Piper and the Clintons have a long and very tight relationship and it will be no wonder that they will work in cahoot for their clients/contributors (Woyane and Al-Amoudi). A half Lebanese, Mitchell is trusted by the dynasties in the Middle East and has business client relationships with most of the players there including (our own?) Al Amoudi. With Clinton and Mitchell in their pockets, expect the Woyanes to pull a few dirty tricks on us. Former Congressman Dick Gephardt, an employee of DLA Piper, is considered to be close to Obama (may be not as close as former Senator Tom Daschel but close enough to do damage); he is also another Woyane man to watch for. I do not know how much Woyane is paying Congresswoman Diane Watson (or what is the basis of their relationship) but she seems to be their go to woman; but so far I have not seen any evidence to show that she is close to Obama and capable of doing damage to us.

The greates source of risk and threat to the national interest and security of Ethiopia is Meles Zenawi himself. In the first palce, Meles Zenawi has never accepted the statehood and existence of Ethiopia
as a country. He says the current territorial space of Ethiopia is not
final and to be decided by his agreements and treaties he enters into with the neighbours. This means territorial concessions and giveaways
to the neighbours dependeng on their request and wishes to get land from Ethiopia. We have witnessed this in the North with Eritrea and
are observing the same thing in the west with Sudan. Meles Zenawi has told his ethnic follwers that he is determined to creat his great ethnic republic on the grave of Ethiopia and he is working hard to realize his objective. One can find all these in the several manifestoes and teaching of Meles Zenawi. Sultan, It is a Good reminder for Ethiopians who think Obama can bring change. The Clinton/Obama have unfinished business in Africa, specially East Africa. I expect Obama to ally with TPLF to finish it. South Sudan is big interest for USA. First for its natural resources and secondly to destabilize Al-Beshir and Isayas. Who would do that except TPLF, TPLF already signed a contract to deploy troops to south Sudan to protect US’s interest. Somalia is another reason why TPLF is working hard to destabilize it more. Eritrea is like a bone in the throat, or the deal breaker for US neocon capitalizm. USA knows if they can control Isayas US policy in East Africa will materialize easily or Dr.J. Frazer would have been a hero.
And i expect US administration to miscalculate Ethiopians concern. Obama will encourage peaceful coexistence of oppositions(Birtukan)with TPLF while Ethiopians prefer elimination of TPLF. It is discouraging to imagine US working with TPLF to control East Africa And Obama seeing Ethiopians Arm Struggle oppositions as Terrorists or Sponsored by terrorist state, Eritrea. TPLF’s fear is Eritrea and the arm struggle comming from Eritrea. TPLF will do anything to divert Obama’s concerns about Ethiopia to Eritrea and Obama can easily be convinced to support actions against Eritrea to get things under his control.Unfortunately, Obama will see Birtukan as his greatest mission in Ethiopia as TPLF wanted it. And It is frustrating USA cant see how rotten TPLF is. Sooner o later USA will be forced to see it. It was out of my imagination how the goverment with less than 10 % people support think can lead a country, but as we all know now, they are not there to lead but to distablize Ethiopia and the whole region. Obama’s Foreign policy/(so aka, Hope and change) will first fail/or succeed in East Africa, if Obama ally with TPLF, his policy in a whole east Africa will collapse but before it collapse i expect to see horrific actions by TPLF/USA against resistance groups, like they did in Somalia. First of all, national security has never been and will never be secured by a regime that terrorizes its own innocent people as well as distabilizes the region. Genuine democracy , lasting peace, and sustainable development of the region is a threat to the survival of dictators . That is why tplf is trying to do after its withdrwal from Somalia. National seurity and the very interest of dicatorial regimes are seen one and the same in most African countries; and that is why we desperately need change.

Make no mistake: the position of Barack Obama and Ethiopia will be identical or similar with regard to Al Shibab. It will also be identical or similar with regard to supporting moderate Islamic groups in Somalia.
I think the Ambassador should be fired for divulging this sensitive information.

The policy and strategy followed by the so called Government (woyane Government) on Somalia was wrong from A to Z. The strategy devised by Seyoum Mesfin and his ashker Tekeda Alemu was to set up a TELALAKI government in that part of the region. These officials and their likes never took into consideration the objective reality unfolding in the region. Potential opponents were not properly scrutinized and analyzed. The impact of religion on the countries of the Horn of Africa and other countries was underestimated. Above all the importance of an all inclusive government was not given attention.
All the officials were doing was to establish a puppet and dictator woyane like government that could easily be manipulated by TPLF. Having spent our meager resources and manpower they delved in a bloody war in support of a shaky government they have plunged the country into a ravine and humiliated the army members. They should sit and think for a while that even mighty never succeeded in imposing their national interests on other countries let alone a bunch of dictators.
These officials have already gambled by playing devastating foreign relations policy and strategy card and they should be kicked out with all their crew members.

I expect such hot discussion on my position. I concur that woyane is a moll to ethiopia. That I don’t waiver, but not all woyanes are antiethiopia. There are few segments of woyanes who are tirelessly working believing that they are serving Ethiopia. Few in the ruling circle are antiethiopia, but the majority who are not antiethiopia. Those who died in the somali deserts are not antiethiopians. I think there are good hearted and nationalist factions in woyane. So let’s not crush them together with those antiethiopian forces. These forces are the ones who challenged woyane not to cede badme to eritrea. Let’s appreciate their works. The likes of zenawi are abominated or cursed, but they are not the only guys under woyane. I acknoweldge what Tekeda is doing to secure his country’s national interest.

Now we are talking away from a protest rally of the release W/t Bitukan, which nothing to do with the national interest of Ethiopia; that of peace in the region, freedom , territorial integrity, and sovergneity of Ethiopia.
This regime has managed to put UDJP under its control as loyalist opposition and now having Somalia under its control through the support of an opposition to Al Shabab, for unknown reason. While Ginbot 7 is following to achieve the national goals above under EPLF sponsorship, UDJP falls short of achieving the national goas above according to its polical model of either sustaining the TPLF regime and/or replacing the current regime with the likes of Seye Abraha plus Tigrai Harena of Gebru Asrat and Prof Beyene Petros of the loyalist oppositon, all of wchich do not have constituent support in Ethiopia, other than the diaspora and disaffected TPLF Supporters. The current regime is raising UDJP’s leader’s image in the diaspora, following her campaign tour in Europe by putting w/t Birtukan in prison, having initially contributed to the split of Kinijit, has taken it to the next level of diverting the focus of Ethiopians in the diaspora away from itself into protesting for relase of W/T Bitukan Mideksa,(without supporting the imprisonment); away from talks about its defeat in Somalia, away from the genuine peaceful struggle and diminish the attention of the harrassement and impisonment and release on bail of the editor of Andenette Gazette and the shutting down of the Gazztte, which is much linked to the national interest than the former in terms of freedom of the press, and freedom of assembly, the campaign with regard to the 8-points and additionally the campaign to boycott the products of TPLF and TPLF affiliated enterprizes in the diaspora.
All these intrigues in the internal politics is not clear to UDJP and Ginbot 7 supporters in the diaspora and foreign officials may find it hard to decipher these intrigues of internal politics between those that are designated as moderates and hardliners in terms of achieving the national interest. But the Ethiopians abroad and at home understand the hardliners, which is not promoted and supported passionately by the major media in USA fanning the flaming around UDJP and Ginbot 7, taking Ethiopia back to squar 1, with sustaining the current regime and/or replacing the current regime with two sides of the same coin both Ginbot 7, perspective and UDJP perspective. Ethiopians at home, I am sure do not accomodate both of them. To librate Ethiopians by Ethiopians let us through our support and follow the strategies advanced by the hardliners engaged in a genuine peacefull struggle. Let us use EPPF, ENUPF, EUPF,etc. as a standing army to replace the current army less the defectors.

you are a dead propagadist of eprp eyasu, then eventually you are the one who turned to be a supporter of Moron hailu shawel along with your entire retiree destuctive groups. EPRP eyasu group had been attacking hailu shawel first, when kinijit was created, since most eprp destructive groups had tought that they could easily destroy kinijit by attacking hailu and other stong members.
Eventually, after the release of kinijit leaders from kality, eprp eyasu had found that hailu shawel was the best tool to destroy kinijit and they automatically flipped to be his sympetyzer to accomplish thier destuctive goal, now the person ” aha” turned out as if he is a supproter of eppf since this is the usual destuctive strategy of eprp eyasu, just to target Ginbot 7, how ever now regardless of eprp dirty game ginbot 7 wont be destructed even by weyane criminal groups.
eprp eyasu have to understand that it was not their effort that destroyed kinijit, it was the dirty role of hailu shawel that damaged the struggle, now the leaders of Ginbot 7 are not like idiot hailu shawel that dies for thier personal power interest, as a result all that are bounded under ginbot 7 are an ultimate goal to eradicate the weyane criminal groups, yet, they can not or never been washed by the cultish and insultish weapons of eprp eyasu groups. as such most firm supporters of ginbot 7 are clearly know that eprp eyasu is just a bunch of destuctive groups but nothing.

Belew “Manin”, when you regain your conciousness and objective analyze and synthesize the mode of operation you will be cursing UDJP leadership, which by constuency is Kestedamena, has turned to deceptive and subersive party, where one is putting Ginbot 7 hostage to EPLF and the the other UDJP hostage to TPLF and or to Tigrai harena. Where the agenda for peaceful struggle to achieve the national interest.
I am only presenting the parties in synthetic logic and /or the summation and integration of the policies the different parties are following from their own assertions while you are being rude and emotionally carried away without critical thinking. Ethiopians would not like leadership handed over to them by mindless diaspora supporters like you, who seek after their self interest rather than the national interest and foreign governments the second time around.
When they attain their freedom by themselves through a genuine peaceful struggle they can elect the leadership that serves the national interest and not a party that is geared to”no change but durable democracy, inspite of the fact that current regime tells you economic development preceeds before democracy under a one party system, much in style of East Asia, while the country disintegrates and the territorial integrity threatened, with no end in sight for starvation, torture improsoment, systematic removal of ethiopians from the work force and poverty under the current and the continuation of ethnically dominated rule.
The Ginbot 7 armed struggle will facilitate the ethnic dominance and UDJP will facilitate TPLF and/or Tigrai Harena dominance of Ethiopian politics, while the two regimes are the two sides of the same coin, they do not serve Ethiopian national interest of peace, territorial integrity, freedom, and soverneity of Ethiopia.
Thank for standing up to my point of view, I hope I have made clear what concern and the concern of ethiopian taxpayers lies. Remember our major responsiblity is to Ethiopian tax payers who gave these opportunuty to where we are wherever we are, not to ppolitical leaders.

People who are confusse who is who like, TPLF ,Ginbot 7, EPPF, ENUPF, EUPF, they are divided under one unspeakable fact , a country called Eritrea.
