EMF(28 July 2010) In an attempt to disrupt ESAT signals, Meles Zenawi’s regime knocked off the broadcast signals of its own ETV along with a number of other international satellite service providers, ESAT reveals on Tuesday. According to the press release by ESAT, The Ethiopian Government by attempting to knock out ESAT ended up knocking itself off the air.
Earlier EMF has reported that Meles Zenawi had called emergency meeting to discuss on extended resumption of ESAT. After the meeting, Zenawi ordered a panic attack on ESAT signals, which resulted in a brief interruption of ESAT, its own ETV and Eritrea’s ERITV on Thursday, 15 July. Read the report here.
Sources say Zenawi is now determined to shut down ETV, its only propaganda channel than seeing the public watching ESAT. The illegal signal interference points exclusively in the direction of the Ethiopian to attack on ESAT affects all the channels under the same bouquet.

One Question:
I am confident ESAT can sue Meles for this wrong doing and corruption.
I am also confident of the existence of a substantive law too , the problem again could however be the venue or jurisdiction to handle the Case. If there is a rule of law I guess we can sort out the adjective law.

Go there and filter by band = Ku and frequency =11,976.
There are 14 channels for this filter.
If ESAT was on Badr-6 as mentioned on ESAT website, then it would not make sense for ETV and EriTV to get affected while they are on a completely different satellite (Badr-4).
According to Arabsat website ESAT is also on Badr-4 which contradicts ESAT’s claim that it moved to Badr-6. In anycase it is a messy situation.

Calm is returning to Kenya’s border with Ethiopia, following the killing of four people by suspected Ethiopian armed bandits (actual name OLF).
Weyane told us no OLF.
Five people are still missing after members of the Oromo Liberation Front OLF raided Dabel location.
Moyale DC, Joshua Nkanatha however denied reports that the bandits made away with an unknown number of camels.
The DC assured the residents who re living in fear that security had been tightened following the attack.
Tension had been high following the latest attack with local residents fearing similar attacks.
He was speaking Tuesday after a security meeting attended by the area MP and Assistant Minister for Special Programs, Mohammed Ali and his Wajir north constituency counterpart Mohammed Gabo.
A contingent of the Kenya Army, regular and administration police has been dispatched to the area to beef up security.
Moyale and other surrounding districts have for many years been prone to insecurity and fighting between its many ethnic groups -Borana [the largest], Rendille, Gabbra, Burji, Somali and Garii -mainly over economic resources such as pasture and water.
Moyale residents have often accused members of both the Ethiopian armed forces and the Ethiopian rebel Oromo Liberation Front of mounting attacks in Kenya side, abducting, torturing and killing people they accuse of sympathising with either side.

Dont be discouraged ! there will be a huge attack on its own palace soon . ESAT managment you have to have plan B in all your next steps too. This is a lesson to all the opposition entities that are in any means fight with Woyane . Have plan B to move forword the war. I called ethiopia yesterday. ETV is not working. About 12 satelite programs from other countries are also off air.
Only BBC, Aljazeera and CNN work.
You can contact and ask your friends in ethiopia if ETV has started again. You must have old style regular antenna to receive ETV news. Most ethiopians outside addis are using satelite reception which has been interrupted now. Many ethiopians are worried. Please call or send them e-mail of the news why ESAT stopped working.

ETV now hides as ETV 2, in another Satellite provider called EUTELsat-W3A, 7°E, which is very difficult to access. it was a prearranged deal to attack ESAT and leave ARABSAT. This was a hit & run tactic of the former guerilla fighters of the Meles regime. Since it requires big dish. People have to spend extra money to buy a good receiver + antennae dish. Nobody will spend a lot of money to view rubbish news and nasty, hatred geared propaganda by ETV.
The number of viewers and listeners has drastically diminished after the fraudulent election of May, 2010. The laughable 99.6% of “election victory” has been the talk of the town in the world press. The unashamed MelesOvich still takes part in international meetings. Recently in Uganda.
He said: “A strong nation should add to Amison to counter the attack of AlShabab in Uganda”. Look how he is exploiting things in favour of him. He is speaking out his wish to join the forces there to renew his “Anti-terror friendship” with the US. Because he is in need of big money.
There is a suspicion that Meles in collaboration with external force have authorised the attack in the name of Al Shabab. The Ugandan government is thoroughly investigating the case.
Whether officials of Woyane change their fighting positions to attack other Satellite TVs, they cannot escape from international law. They think, they can bribe few selfish individuals, but they cannot cheat the whole nation.

Money shouldn’t have been an issue at all. Every Ethiopian should give at least 15 to 20 per cent of his/her income. Even more in the beginning. ESAT is the only way that can tople the Woyane Government. Nothing else for now or in the near future.

ተከታታዩን የፍሪኩዌንሲ ድብደባ ተከትሎ ከኢሳት በተጨማሪ መንግሥት የሚቆጣጠረው የኢትዮጵያ ቴሌቪዥን ጣቢያ የሳተላይት አገልግሎት ከአየር ላይ መጥፋቱን መግለጫው ጠቁሟል፡፡ “ኢሳት ለሁለተኛ ጊዜ ተቋርጦ እንደገና አገልግሎት መስጠት ሲጀምር የኢሳት ፍሪኩዌንሲ የኢትዮጵያ ቴሌቪዥን አገልግሎት ከሚሰጥበት ፍሪኩዌንሲ ጋር ተመሳሳይ እንዲሆን በኢሳት በኩል ለሳተላይት ጣቢያው ጥያቄ በመቅረቡ፣ ኢሳትና ኢቲቪ በተመሳሳይ ፍሪኩዌንሲ በአየር ላይ እንዲውሉ ተደርጐ ነበር፡፡ ይህ በመሆኑም የኢሳትን ሲግናል የሚያውክ ማንኛውም ጣልቃ ገብ ፍሪኩዌንሲ በኢትዮጵያ ቴሌቪዥን ሥርጭት ላይ ችግር ማስከተሉ የማይቀር ነው፡፡ ለዚህም ነው ኢሳትን ከአየር ውጭ ለማድረግ የሞከረው የኢትዮጵያ መንግሥት የራሱንም ጣቢያ ከአየር ውጪ ያደረገው፤” በማለት ኢሳትና ኢቲቪ በአንድ ቀን የተቋረጡበትን ምክንያት ያስረዳል፡፡
በኢትዮጵያ መንግሥት አፈና እየተደረገበት መሆኑን የጠቆመው ኢሳት፣ ማንኛውም ዓይነት ሕጋዊና የቴክኖሎጂ ዘዴዎችን በመጠቀም የሳተላይት ሥርጭቱን የሚቀጥልበትን መንገድ እንደሚፈልግ አስታውቋል፡፡
በጉዳዩ ላይ ያነጋገርናቸው የመንግሥት ኮሙኒኬሽን ጉዳዮች ጽሕፈት ቤት ምክትል ኃላፊ አቶ ሽመልስ ከማል በበኩላቸው፣ ኢሳት ታዳሚዎቼ ናቸው ለሚላቸው ክፍሎች “የገንዘብ ዕርዳታ ካላደረጋችሁልኝ በኪሳራ መውጣቴ ነው፤” በማለት ተደጋጋሚ ጥሪ ሲያሰማ መቆየቱን ጠቁመው፣ ድርጅቱ የራሱን የውስጥ ችግር ወደ ሌሎች ክፍሎች ለማሸጋገር መሞከሩ “የእናቴ መቀነት አደናቀፈኝ ዓይነት” ሰንካላ ምክንያት ማቅረቡን ተናግረዋል፡፡ ይህንን በማድረጉም የሚያገኘው ትርፍ የለም ብለዋል፡፡
አቶ ሽመልስ እንዳሉት፣ በተለያዩ ምክንያቶች አየር ላይ ሲወጣና ሲወርድ የቆየ ድርጅት የውስጥ ድክመቱን በሌሎች ክፍሎች ላይ በመለጠፍና በማሳበብ የሚያገኘው ትርፍ አይኖርም፡፡ የኢሳት መስራቾች ከዚህ ቀደም የሬዲዮ ጣቢያና የቴሌቪዥን ጣቢያዎች ለማቋቋም ሞክረው ያቋቋሟቸው ድርጅቶች አድማጭ አጥተው አንድ ስንዝር መራመድ አቅቷቸውና ከስረው የተዘጉባቸው መሆኑን የጠቆሙት አቶ ሽመልስ፣ አሁንም “በኢትዮጵያ መንግሥት ታፈንኩኝ” የሚለው ኢሳት፣ በራሱ የውስጥ ችግር የተዘፈቀና የተተበተበ በመሆኑ የትም ሊደርስ እንደማይችል ገልጸዋል፡፡
የኢሳትና የኢትዮጵያ ቴሌቪዥን ሥርጭቶች በአንድ ቀን አንድ ላይ እንዴት ሊጠፉ ቻሉ? በሚል ለቀረበላቸው ጥያቄ አቶ ሽመልስ ሲመልሱ፣ “የኢትዮጵያ ቴሌቪዥን የሳተላይት ሥርጭት የተቋረጠው ለጊዜው በተፈጠረ የቴክኒክ ችግር ነው፡፡ ይህንን ችግር ለመፍታትም ከአረብ ሳት ኃላፊዎች ጋር ንግግር እየተደረገ ነው፡፡ ችግሩ በቅርቡ መፍትሔ ያገኛል የሚል ዕምነት አለን፤” ብለዋል፡፡

We will continue to fight our common enemy until it is crushed to its complete defeat, dead or alive.You,Ethiopians,our goal is to free our country and people from the robbers’ grip;of coure,they did not come into Ethiopia as entrepreneures;they came into our country with a lot of guns and bullets and had been looting and murdering Ethiopians since invasion.
This is why we have to remove our common enemy permanently.The response of Ethiopians is remarkably overwhelming.We want to listen to fellow Ethiopians in the homeland,they want all of us to hold hand-in-hand with them;at such a time we need each other.Ladies and gentlemen,there are enough Ethiopians allover the planet to defeat the robbers.

I think EMF should update its news that ESAT has been jammed for the third time. Surprisingly EMF is not any more blocked in Ethiopia. I am now writing from our country. I thought I would miss some of the lies of the opposition medias like EMF and ethiomedia. But now it seems that the government understood that none of the sites can make any change to our country as they broad cast all lies.

THIS IS TO ESATE MANAGMENT! MUST READ!!!!!!
1. Your success is in your hand . The whole people of Ethiopia here in the
Diaspora and in ethiopia are watching not your steps to back
ESAT on air but also to trust you and your fellows to the next most
important step which ever is comes next. You are working in the
name of the whole diaspora and your work is a grand evidence to
the whole Ethiopians.
2. Avoid any inside problems ONLY by yourselves (if any) before your
wind blow out of your control. Negatives spread much faster than
positives. Only focus on your first goal in any good or bad times.
3. You are now in different step than a year ago or two years ago. Try to
know what surrounds you. Change the way you gone before to still
hold your name than any other personal conflict of interest or any
other negatives that can distruct everything.
4. Managing this movement of the people is a tough job. We all try to
come to one common point. This by itself is a progress and an
achivement. You have to think to keep this motion always on
around you. If you made a minnor mistake it is gonna be loosing
your power at all. Keep your policies. Try to avoid any any
negatives that spoil the fame.
5. Learn from past and from other parties or any other entities that start
but faild not becaouse of the external factors but internal problems.
6. We need you to be strong. We need to tell you all your mistakes to
correct you. Accept us positively. Learn each other. Make some
issues open to the public. Especially those related to finance.
7. Dont be discouraged and determine to walk a lot far more. You have
to know that your enemies are more powerful than you. Your
power is the people, use it not loose it. Your way of success or
failer will be copyed to the next succussive steps by others.
