(By Dawit Kebede, USA) 23 Feb. 2010- The following political analysis was prepared back in December, 2009.  Dawit Kebede, USA,  has sent the document to concerned people to forward it to UDJ officials. We believe that the UDJ officials didn’t get it. As the election is fast approaching in Ethiopia, the analysis can help supporters to analyze, understand, and create effective strategies to promote political issue of the oppositions, their point of view on any policy question. Thank you for your contribution.
… It was a very helpful and correct way that you sent your analysis to the concerned people to forward to UDJ officials. That is an admirable contribution. I do not understand why a leadership will not acknowledge and act upon on such voluntary and helpful help. I have a problem with that. It is an obligation at least to acknowledge that they received it and response as to what they are going to do with it.
On your second act of publishing it here where you are part of the editorial board, I have a problem. What is the purpose? Is it to show us that the UDJ leadership does not response to legitimate helpful support? Is it to let us know that the UDJ program has problems that need to be fixed? If so who can do it?..
      Just my observation!
      Thank you again

      O Dave,
You are very talented in drawing further more journalism.
      THX for your analysis.

    7. AleQa Bru Says:

If UDJ or any other party was to modify its political program for every comment made by anybody, then it would not be a political program.

They might have asked for comments from the general public at one point, but I don’t think it is right to expect them to modify their program for everybody.

In general, you should support a political party whose program you like the most; instead of demanding some political party to change its program to your liking.

      That’s how i see it.

    8. Alehubel Says:

TPLF has been attacking the performance of Medrek/UDJ (represented by Dr. Merara Gudina) at the recently held so called first round of debate for the upcoming fake election. In addition to other venues, TPLF has been using its Aiga forum, Capital and Addis Fortune newspapers for the attack. That is not surprising given the nature of the TPLF and the desperate state it finds itself in. What is surprising is no body from the other side came to the defence (and counterattack) of Medrek/UDJ/Dr. Merara. Let us anayze the debate from our vantage point and come in defence (counteroffence) of our poineering organizations and heroic leaders.

    10. Fekish Says:

The problem with oppositions is not having a impressive, wonderfull, libral…(we can add other fancy words) political programe. Look EDP of Lidetu or Kenjit of Chamiso…All have got nice political programes. Why wouldn’t we elect them if political programe is the only measure? There are parties with them party’s rules and regulations are violated by leaders, leaders are not trustworhty, leaders are not visionaries beyond their nose, leaders worry about clinging on to power only…etc
Political programe could be copied from different sources. We have to think beyond that. We have to elect a political party with the right political programe with the right leaders.

    11. andnet berhane Says:

fekish dont consider EDP,CUDas aparties this individual organise themselvess in political parties they are not play the center role in the process of creating and negotiating working solutions for public affairs.
as aparties do they have basic idea?
I dont give them a credit because as a political parties they are not play a key role in creating political solution forget political program the name what they have jest to be tail of TPLF simbol of member of parliment they dont have any power.
