General Asaminew Tsige (Ret.) of the former Ethiopian Air Force has lost his eye from police beatings in a prison cell where he is incarcerated in solitary confinement, VOA reported on Friday. According to VOA reporter from Addis Ababa, the prison guards forcefully took off Gen Asaminew Tsige’s necklace piercing his flesh on his neck.
Gen Asaminew Tsige is one of the 46 detainees, in connection with Ginbot 7 movement, who are accused by Meles Zenawi of trying to overthrow his regime.
The torture victim told the court that he was not only savagely beaten up in prison, Meles Zenawi’s guards have also extremely insulted him using ethnic slurs against Amhara.
Eyewitness accounts who were present at court said General Asaminew Tsige told the court that his torturers were hurling ethnic insult at him saying, “Amhara shintam new!” … and “men tametalachihu?” meaning “Amahras are cowards who piss on themselves, what are you going to do?”
The attendants in the court started to cry loudly and the judges told to get out every one from the court room.
Political observers fear such move of the regime will increase ethnic tension in Ethiopia. The cadres of Meles Zenawi are exacerbating the animosity between the Tigrian minority and biggest Ethnic groups, the Amhara and the Oromo. Such serious ethnic divisions, animosities and slurs has never been in Ethiopia before 1991. When Meles Zenawi’s ethnic junta arrived in 1991, it produced identity cards classifying the nation according to their ethnicity adopting the British colonial tactic of divide and rule.
Many are outraged over the news of brutal beating and Ethnic slurs on the Amhara people, by the minority regime of Meles Zenawi.

This person had been in the service of the TPLF ethnic fascists and supremacists. The ethnic fascists use and throw persons from outside their ethnic group like disposable items. The leader of the ethnic fascists Meles Zenawi has deep seated hatred for the Amharas but the greedy and self-centered Amhara intellectuals are serving him for the sake of petty benefits. The opposition parties with sizeable amhara support are also capitulating to the ethnic fascist and giving him the legitimacy he needs. There is not any visible resistance against the ethnic fascist rule among the Amharas and in their region. That is why the TPLF ethnic fascists are demeaning the Amharas and dismissing them as cowards. The TPLF ethnic fascists have realized the greedy and self-centered nature of the Amhara elites who sell out their conscience for petty benefits. The Amharas are preoccupied with filling and have failed to see outside their bellies. It is cheaper for the TPLF ethnic fascists to buy the services of the Amharas and use them as their tools of oppression and repression. The TPLF ethnic fascists showed some benefits to the Amharas and were able to enlist large numbers of Amharas in their army to fight against the EPLF. Those Amhara conscripts were used as mine cleaners in the war and thousands were sacrificed in the heavily mined fronts of Tigray and Ertirea. No Amhara elite dared to speak about this selective use of the Amhara conscrpts as mine clearing humans. So the Amaharas need soul searching and liberation from their destructive habit of selling themselves for petty benefits.

I am sorry for Gen. Asmamaw Tiegie for losing his eyes and being treated evilly by Weyane terrorist and racist elements. However, the main enemies of the Amaharas and Oromos are not the few racist and criminal elements of Weyane who are terrorizing not only the Amahars and Oromos but also the entire country, but also the HODAM Amahars and Oromos who are either keep destroying the struggle in the opposition camps , i.e. people like Lidetu, hailu and other hodams, and those other idiot and selfish Amahras and Oromos who doesn’t contribute nothing to support the struggle against weyane. Moreover, the majority of the Amahars and Oromos who live in Diaspora are not only supporting oppositions, but they even support the Weyane criminal group either by shopping from their stores, by using Ethio. Airlines to go to Ethiopia, by keep chasing their own tiny interest in stead of being a little help for the struggle against weyane. As a result, Weyane keep gaining and oppositions become weaker and weaker , that allows weyane to destroy Ethiopia. As we heard from the news, those idiot and racist weyane elements are even underestimate the whole Oromos and Amahars just because they have never seen an equivalent counter challenge from these two biggest ethnics for the crime they commit against them.
On the otherside, there are a few Oromo groups that kept themselves in a dream Oromia Umbrella, they are simply keep hating the Amarhas based on what they just told from fabricated past history, and they keep declaring a verbal war against the Amarhara as if they are very concerned to Oromos which they claim they represent while they have never been a good tool to come forward and fight the greatest current enemy of the Oromos, which is the weyane terrorist group. Mostly they tend to be seen just racist against Amahara, while the fact of the matter is that in Ethiopia except Weyane there has never been an ethnicity based regime. Well, as we all know the former Ethiopian rulers including the recent Derg, and Haile Seleassie were not democratic governments. As a result, not only the Oromos, but also every other nation in Ethiopia had been a victim for their undemocratic policies.
At the same time those naive, selfish and power monger Amarhars should stop searching thier tiny interst and should avoid thier egos and join the unity forces by anymeans once and for all. We observe many Amahars even in the oppostion groups keep fighting for thier egos like ” my idea is better than yours” rather than focus on weyane. At the same time some naive Amaras keep screaming about irrelevant issues , while should only and only focus to get rid of the weyane current regime. So this type of idiotic and moronic arguments should be stopped soon and target only weyane.
Therefore, I urge all the Oromos who are just being kept in a racist camp, should come out from their caves and join the movement of anti weyane groups by any means possible. Our unity is vital to get rid of the current terrorist weyane group from ethiopia rather than talking our difference. Weyane is using our difference for his divide and rule policy which has kept weyane for almost two decades. We shall say enough is enough. At the same time I urge all the Amahras and other ethnic groups of ethiopia should come out and join the struggle against weyane by being a support for the best oppositions in terms of money, time, energy and other essiential things that can help out the struggle against weyane.
We cannot afford to be divided anymore. We should minimize our differences and eradicate weyane once and for all from Ethiopia. Lets make dictatorship history in Ethiopia. Lets be a part of the struggle. Lets stop watching the destruction of Weyane from outside.

The Amharas are the enemies of the great and super intelligent people of Tigray. Thanks to the teachings of their world class leader and politician Meles Zenawi, the people of Tigray are aware of the sinister and anti-Tigray motives of the Amharas. Let alone coming to power, the Amharas will never see the corridors of power in the new and democratic Ethiopia created by the people of Tigray. We have paid a lot to get rid of the parasitic and repressive Amhara rule which had been keeping us in the chains of famine and poverty. The war against poverty in Ethiopia is also the war against the hatefull and chauvinst Amharas as clearly put by our visionary leader, aito Meles Zenawi. The Amharas who only know hating the superior people of Tigray, begging and jealousy. It is important for the people of Tigray to put the Amharas under control and exclude them from the economic and political lives of the country. The toxic Amhara diaspora who are allied with Shabia are being isolated more and more and are in a hopeless condition. But there are a few Gurgages who are allied with the Amharas and standing against the people of Tigray. The Amahara-Shabia anti-Tigray alliance can not succeed because the people of Tigray are well aware and prepared to crush it. Our visionary leader, Meles Zenawi is not responding to the provocative acts of the anti-Tigray Amahara-Shabia alliance but once he begins to respond, it will be the end of Shabia and Amharas.

I feel sorry for the Genral personally, but the Amharas at large are paying the price for the atrocity the commited on Oromos and the Southern people in the past. I pity him for losing his eye beacuse the eye is important than anything. As for the slur it does not worry me much. I guess one ethnic group has something to say to one another and the prison guards doesnot not represent the Tigrian Ethnic.
The Amharas are NOW subjugated to live under the yoke of the Tigrian Dominancy. Unless they revolt en masse and break their yoke they will have to learn to accept their slavery for the time being.
By the way, the Italians killed a lot of Amharas than they did to the rest of the population. The Tigrians under Yohannes lead the British all the way to Mekedella and allied with the British FOR A HANDFUL OF ARMS to Kill Theodros.
Later on, during the Italian occupation, The Belkowash of Tigrian Italian mercenary foot soldiers massacred a lot of Amhara peasants more than DID the Italian artillery. History tells us that the Italians were kicked out and, the Amharas survived.
The Tigrians on the other hand, as Wedi Wukro explained his deep rooted hatred of the Amharas indicated above, are hot tempered in nature and short lived. They built a statue of Liberty in their town of Mekle in a war fought among brothers. That is the Tigrians in a nut shell.
I am discussing History and NOTadovocating for any ethnic group. I am discussing the social interaction of the north-north population of our country.
Let us see what is to come and judge who is the Shentam or not. History will certainly tell us.

When a government is lecturing invariably, tactfully when the governing seems to go well, openly when oppositions escalate, that for all the ills Ethiopia had had the Amharas were responsible, it might not require a genius to predict that a day will come when controlling people’s dissent cannot be easy. The TPLF’s divide and rule politics up to now tried to use the alleged animosity between Amhara and Oromo to some advantage. The TPLF, they believe, is in position of being a king maker. The Amharas and Oromos who are part of the EPDRF could be encouraged to vie for the attention of the ruling class, which in fact is TPLF. If you remember when KINIJIT won the Addis Ababa adminstration, Meles almost proclaimed Addis to be part of Oromia. When the Oromos of EPDRF seemed to have disatisfied, many ministerial positions were offered to the Amhara wing of EPDRF. When the group dependability reversed, so did the reward. Any government could use this divide and rule tactic to some length of time and get away with it. But to believe Ethiopia will be ruled by this Mafia tactic for decades and decades to come is not only delusional but also completely insane. Ethiopians more than any time in their lives are becoming confused about the direction the country is heading. A government which advocated ethnic equality became to be a government which arrested and killed people because of their ethnicity. I applaud Asaminew’s courage, and I feel his frustration. He may pay his life or will be condemened for life in prison for his courage, but I have a feeling his sacrifice might ignite a spark that TPLF would find it difficult to dampen. Over time, we, Ethiopians, come to know the rule losers in this ethnic politics will be the Tigre masses. The Tigre elites who benefited from the system have started keeping money in foreign banks and planning for their kids future which will be a long way away from home.

Why was it easy for Meles’ regime to rule over Ethiopians?
Why was it easy for Meles adminstration to rule over Ethiopians in the last 18 years? Why even will it be easier to rule for further many decades? If we put it simplified, it is just because of some misguided elites, specially some elites of the two BIG nations aka Amharas (forces of unconditional Ethiopian unity) and Oromos (forces of unconditional Oromian independence). To understand it well, let’s look at the five opposition groups of the elites in the empire:
- at far right position are forces of unconditional unity, most of them being Amhara elites and few Gurage elites.
- at middle right are forces of democratic unity, who do persue to realize Ethiopian unity per public verdict aka self-determination, most of them being elites from the nations of South Ethiopia.
- on the middle are forces favouring democratic CONDITIONAL union of indepnedent nations aka “ethnic” federation per public verdict, as AFD seems to have planned. This middle position is that of the alliance between the middle right forces and the middle left forces.
- at middle left are forces of democratic indepndence, who do persue to realize independence of their respective nations per public verdict, now represented by the majority of Oromos, Sidamas and Ogadenis
- at far left position are forces of unconditional independence of nations, which includes few Ogadenis and few Oromos.
To simplify this classification, we can call the three groups at the middle as forces of self-determination. So we do deal with two major forces (the right side dictatorial forces of unconditional unity and the middle forces of self-detarmination) and one minor force (dictatorial forces of unconditional independence). Disregarding the minor dfictatorial forces of unconditional independence at the moment, the whole opposition groups in the empire are either in the dictatorial camp of unconditional unity or in the democratic camp of self-determination.
Meles regime managed to corner these elites and made specially forces on the far right to cry for unconditional unitary Imiye Ethiopia and forces on the far left to sing about unconditional independence of Ayo Oromia and Ogaden. With that the ruling regime could reserve the middle ground aka CONDITIONAL union of autonomous nations i.e language based federalism as its own position, so that it could accuse forces of unconditional unity as centeralist chauvinists and forces of unconditional independence as narrow separatists and make them fight each other. Some politicians in the opposition have tried to neutralize this effort of the regime. For example, I do appreciate the position of the visionary OLF leaders and some leaders of democratic unity forces who signed the formation of the alliance called AFD (Alliance for Freedom and Democracy), which took a necessary step to deal with the regime’s tactic of devide and rule. With this step, OLF, ONLF and SLF moved from their seemingly far left position of unconditional independence of their respective nations to the middle compromise position aka to be forces of self-determination. And they do expect that those in the far right position of unconditional unity also move to the middle. Currently the forces of democratic unity and the forces of unconditional independence are the minority opposition forces in the empire. The major forces are the forces of unconditional unity, most of them being Amharas and the forces of self-determination, majority being Oromos.

The main impact of Meles-Hailu-Handshake on Amhara polity!
The main effect of the Meles-Hailu-handshake is a division of Amhara polity in to two. The activity of G-7/UDJ made many Amharas to look at Asmara as the focus of the struggle against Weyane. Because of this move many Amharas including the two generals (Tefera and Asaminew) are suffering under prison and torture. Now Injera Hailom Shawid moved to Meqele as a supporter of Weyane instead of Asmara, taking his supporters with him. Amharas rallying behind G-7/UDJ percieve this as a major betrayal, whereas Amharas supporting Aite Hailom still sing the obsolete song of unitarist and amharanized Ethiopia. Specially it is very interesting to observe the very conservative Amharas like Prof. Mesfin and Dr. Taye, who used to despise and insult Weyane, now changed their view and started the “good job” of ye Meles qiix-axebaa! I know the main thing which made them to lick ye Meles qiix is the struggle of Oromo people to liberate Oromia from the domination system of both Nefxenyas (the obsolete 20th-century AAPO-Nefxenya and the “modern” 21st-century Weyane-Nefxenya). Because of the division made by Weyane canning fox, EPRP and AAPO have no more the love they enjoyed to one an other in the last few years. Debtra Getachew Reda is at last exposed (he is not with EPRP, but “with AAPO”) as the under ground Weyane agent camouflaged as Amhara conservative fighting specially against OLF!!!
Actually Weyane’s devide and rule method is running specially in three areas:
- polarization of Amhara democratic forces and Oromo liberation fronts
- disintegration of the Amhara forces
- disenfranchisement of the Oromo fronts
In the last few years, both the democratic forces and the liberation fronts did a good job to counter act this devide and rule game of Weyane. Unfortunately now Weyane got one fool in the name Injera Hailom Shawid and did its further divsion work among Amharas!!

I think both Eritrea-factor and Oromo-factor played big role. In the year 2005 he and his party aka CUD failed just because of his position on Eritrea (not accepting the independence and wanting to have Asseb back by any means) and on Oromia (rejecting kilil-federation and planning to dismantle Oromia in to 10 pieces). Now Medrek, which respects Eritrean independence (claims Aseb in only legal and peaceful way) and accepts Oromian autonomy, came out as a major opposition force. According to the view of the conservative unitarist AAPO-Amharas like Injera Hailom Shawid and Kihdetu Afyalew, keeping the status of the fake-federation of Weyane is better than to see in their life time an autonomous Oromia. Now we do have in the empire only two blocs with their respective supporters:
I, Weyane bloc which includes TPLF, ANDM, OPDO, SEDM, AEUP, EDP…etc
II, Medrek bloc including ATSD, EDUM, OFC, SDFC, UDJ, UEDF…etc
Aite Hailom Shawid now thinks Weyane is the “lesser evil” as far as his mantra of unitarist and amharanized Ethiopia is concerned. He is against Medrek, for he thought that Oromo people may achieve more cultural, economical and political Oromian autonomy by Medrek than what they hitherto could by Weyane!!…”

It is time for what to do for every Ethiopians, but, not time for thinking and planning for future. I have only one question that are we Ethiopians realy deafeted by the TPLF group? The answer is at our hand. We never and ever deafeted by woyane.But, the greedy grroup who are serving the woyane government and loyal to woyane are definitely killing us. Now, it is the responsibility of every Ethiopians regardless of place,time,profession in every sector has to strongly refuse the woyane to end this bad event in Ethiopian history.
First and for most, militaries are responsible to stop woyane. Militaries are the military for ethiopia and think to save Ethiopia,but, not to save woyane.So that the responsibility of military and the cooperation of the whole mass is critically important at the present dates.

About Tekeze Dam I dont know exactly how the water is diverted but I do know that the electricity is directly going to addis ababa so why r u saying that it is just to be used in tigray?
What is even the problem if it is going to be used on tigray?
U know how many dams are being constructed in Oromia why did not any one raise a question about those dams and every one is concerned about a single dam?

Meles Zenawi is an eritrean and so is Bereket Simon. Tigreans are not against Amahars. But the eritreans in TPLF like Meles the donley, Seyoum Mesfin, Bereket Simon etc are maltreating Amhars. It is a pitty ethiopians are unable to see how eritreans are anti-Ethiopia and anti-Amhara.

Meles spent $4 billion dollars from the Central Treasury for this Dam to electrify GREATER TIGRAI WHEN THE MAJORITY ARE EATING WEEDS IN HUNGER TO SUSTAIN THEIR LIVELIHOOD. GO TO MY PLACE IN ARSSI. THEY are eating GRASS TO SURVIVE.
Now can you tell me that the electric is to be diverted from Tekeze to Addis. Guess how big a liar you are. You are more catholic than the Pope himself- a liar of the liar Meles.

You see you find the answer why TPLF,representing a minority of 6% or so, could rule Ethiopia 18 long years. It is because of people like Lewux,AFDist (suspected to be woyane agent) and Ogina (suspected to be OLF ultra extremist).
The likes of these three either represent foreigners’ interest,for example that of Eritrea and Arabs, or are woyane agents. They do not represent the majority of Ethiopians.Also the attempt to label patriotic Ethiopians who are for unity and represent the majority as “far right” is funny. In reality what Ogina, an oromo extremist, called “far right” are people who represent the majority and therefore the center, his other classifications
“middle right”,” middle” ,”middle left” and “far left” are also tricky and dishonest. The guy has listed those who represent maybe 10 or 100 people together with the giant group which represents 60 or 70 million Ethiopians and according to him is “far right”.
Also the dismantling of woyanes “Oromia” is a must, because most part of the region does not belong to Oromos, maybe few places in Borena,the rest belongs to all Ethiopians.
A funny comment was also saying “Kinijit” lost in 2005 because of its policy toward Eritrea, which was not to recognize it and the demand for the return of Assab in addition to its plan to dismantle woyane’s “Oromia” and the other ethnic homelands.
Those were positions of the majority in Ethiopia then,as they are today ! Ethiopians with those positions are not “far right” as a tricky commentator wanted us to believe, they are the centre.
Anyway until we settle those differences TPLF will continue ruling us for years to come, maybe decades.

Weyyane does not have shame. Today I heard in VOA that woyyane was alleging that the prisoner has self inflicted the wounds in himself by bouncing against the walls and that they allow family visit only when the prisoner behaves good on Woyyanes eyes. Thisis not kangarro court but kangaroo country. I do not have personal sympathy for the prisoner as I do not know him or his stand. But even the holocaust Nazi prisoners has better treatment. I would not feel at all bad when Woyyane itself will have the same fate or worse. Time will cure our lands cancer and make justice.

I believe Oromos are by far well organized to save thier people at least in the aftermath of Tigres. Why the amhara are worried about the nation? What prof. Asrat worried about the Amharas? why he preferred to organize like Amhara? Amhara people please stand up? In order to liberate this poor people, amhara elits need to think like themselves not like tigres. think like Amhara and mobilize amharas and chase the tigres first then think of the nation. So amharas should follow a leader that is working for amhara such as the late prof. Asrat.-the only genuine Amhara ever loudly denounced the tigre cowards. Coward amharas such as prof. It is up to the Amhara elits and Amhara young people to save thier people and save the nation. the nation is already divided now it is a matter of time. Here are the things what the VOA reporter said
1) Asamnew was not arrested alone-so had there been any bad thing happened to him then the two persons can be witnesses.
2) Asamnew was kicking himself after he was told that his propority are under the control of the police
3) The police members that Asamnew named them was not in the police station on that day.
Let me ask u one question
Why do the police need to kick him now?
They have already got the information they want and they r waiting for the final hearings of the court?
It would have been good if Asamnew was saying that he was kicked a long time ago while the police was asking him but I donot see any reason for him to be kicked right now.
If they want to hit him they can do it after the verdict on wendsday

I like your message however, how come the Tigrayans are never coming out against this atrocities? It seems you are one of the very tiny portion. The day Tigrayans celebrated the anniversary of TPLF excluding the rest of Ethiopians all of the Diaspora is an indication that Meles who is half Tigray and Eritrea btw is supported by Tigrayans. Even though I am not completely against development in Tigray the fact that Tigray is developed disproportionally from the rest of Ethiopia’s region indicates Meles and Tigray are hand in hand. Let me tell you another reason. The day Tigray took the Amara land Wolkait,etc, they have already started war with Amara. Tigrayans know that the day Meles is weakened, Gonder and Wollo might rise against Tigray to war to get the land back. I do believe therefore that Tigre especially because of this reason has already originated war with Amara. So don’t try to paint beautiful picture, the damage is done. I think, I have a feeling that, Meles and Weyane will start more genocide against Amara by sacrificing some Tigrayns poeple so that the international community will believe them. Then Tigray will do its ethnic cleansing in the name self defense. That way Amara is further weakened. Why do you think they are trying to weaken the Orthodox Sinod? That is because Amara is embedded in it. The sooner Tigreans make peace with Amaras, the sooner it is better. It is also true TPLF will make alliance with OLF against Amaras and I think TPLF is really relying on OLF at the end because TPLF knows that they can’t fight Amaras by themselves. TPLF will promise OLF Oromiya, just like they first supported eachother to oust Mengistu and OLF will help TPLF weaken Amaras. OLF and tPLF dream will come true. No surprise!
Why are you surprised at what the General has said? The Boss of Satans himself don’t you remember how many times he used similar slurs against Amharas? That was what him and woyanes were saying and acting from the very beginning. Hating is a crime (even hating gays let alone a famous tribe like Amhara) in many countries. But in our case no body paid attention despite cries from some far-sighted Ethiopian politicians and analysts.
As many have said unless we do sth to curtain and remove Woyanes the worst is yet to come. I said this some 20 years ago and I am 100% sure in what I am saying now.
They are calling us “Shintam” because they know our hands are tied. I disagree with some of you over the assessment of Amharas. There are many Amharas who would like to fight Woyanes till the last drop of blood. The problem is there is no conducive environment.
Unlike Woyanes or EPLFs we stand for unity of Ethiopia, stronger Ethiopia. And when you try to initiate a fight against Woyanes with this motto no one is there to help you, not only our neighbors but also nowadays I come to realize even Westerners. But if you say you want to fight for the independence of (say) Amharas, help is from everywhere. That goal will definitely wipe out our mother land from the world map and that is exactly what all our neighbors want! Woyanes succeeded in removing Mengistu not because they are courageous fighters but because they got shelters and rehabilitation mainly from Sudan every now and then. Actually the opposite - they are known to be most coward or Shintam and run away in the middle of the fight - including Meles himself. But, as I said, they managed to survive and recuperate thanks to the long time and strategic enemy of Ethiopian neighbors!
The other and may be the only alternate we have is hit and run type of struggle, like South African freedom fighters, IRAs, etc.
This itself is not easy nowadays thanks to the internet era which many dictators are taking advantage of. You need to raise money; you need to recruit and train fighters, etc. in the strictest secrecy possible before you start a fight. To raise money you need to have outside and inside source. But, I tell you it is not easy. The Woyane machinery is everywhere. The Joro Tebi eyes and ears are wide opened more than ever. They are using all sorts of listening and intercepting devices thanks to the latest technology devices they got mainly from China. As you know there is no privacy at all in the eyes of Woyanes. They are aggressively intercepting monies coming from abroad. Even you are a target if you receive normal stipend regularly from your relatives. And before you even fire one shot, they are all over you as already happened to some.
So this is the dilemma. I am sure Amhara party leaders abroad or at home have tried or have been contemplating what I said above even though most Amharas at home have been forced to keep quite for the time being.
To conclude, we know Woyanes are evils but the means to remove them is also not easy, even if we are ready to sacrifice ourselves! This by no means Amharas are Shintam or cowardice! It is rather the realty at the ground which is making us look coward. But I tell you one thing: once we say “Enough is Enough” we will cause so much damage on Woyanes till they will be forced to run away once again or overthrown. It is only then they will be forced to swallow their hatred filled words and acts they have been committing! Day by day we learning different means of struggle. If others can shake their enemies, how come we are unable to shiver our own? Let us eagerly wait for that day!.

The reason why Woyanes had succeeded in overthrowing Mengistu’s military not because Woyanes were strong fighters but because, among others, they were and are promoting the policy of secessionism (which were and are the same policy of Sudan, Egypt and others which is making Ethiopia weak) and in return they were receiving massive military, medical, material and financial help.

The way to go about it is not the conventional guirella warfare. The guirella thingy is costly and very slow though I do not oppose those who would prefer that method.
The easiest and absolutely successful method is “cell formation.” You create cells of 4 or 5 friends per Woreda and involve them in such a safe activity as the study of the history of Amhara. This way you will have millions of cells that can exist from North to South , East to West. You gradually prepare them for actions and if you have strong enough net of cells, you can easily ovethrow the TPLF regime without much bloodshed.

The Amhara, the Oromo, the Gurage in general all the other ethnic groups in Ethiopia are all suffering under the minority ethnic group TPLF rule simply because they control the gun and the security. Who is to blame for this? Is it not us all Ethiopians who let the minority criminal group TPLF control all the economic , political and economic activities in the country. The military top position ,the whole security apparatus and almost all key posts and positions are held by members One Ethnic group. Thus we need not be surprised when they piss on us!!!!! What happened to Capitan Teshome Tenkolu I is happening to hundreds and thousands of Ethiopians. Security agents from TPLF Kill , imprison and commit atrocities against other ethnic groups.
The sad thing is that there are middlemen and women who push the people to woyane slaughter house. People like Addisu Legese, Tefera Walwa, and the so called Amhara National Democratic Movement Members and the other Telalaki parties leaders are there simply to serve their TPLF masters and to tie the people they say they represent to be killed and harassed . They never praised their masters while people were killed at Bedeno, Arbagugu and other areas.
Addisu Legese who does not have the capacity is deputy prime minister while well educated Ethiopians worthy of leading the country are thrown in some unproductive corner. Thus we need first challenge those who say the represent ethnic parties and let the people as sacrificial lamb just to fill their bellies.

I have been to Tigray two years ago. I tried to take advantage of my travel to Tigray to get a sense of the culture that produced the likes of Melese. It was an eye opening experience in my entire life. That bloody sick part of Ethiopia knows nothing except vomiting evil and venom that poisons the healthy national body. Two weeks after my stay in that region they call Tigray, many important facts which shed revealing lights on the weyane start to emerge. One could not fail to be struck by the meanness of the people and the cruelty of nature to that land. I can hardly expect anything positive from individuals who hail from Tigre. They are raised to believe that life is not beautiful, and scruple is not the best policy. They are told to be brutal pragmatists and live for today. They are raised to believe as an article of faith that they could not thrive without striking their devouring jaw deep into the vital organs of Ethiopia, for their region is hopelessly barren and useless. Taken in context, the oasis of the Sahara desert can be considered much more verdant and lush than Tigre. This helps me to understand what goes in the background of the mind of weyane. Their myopia stems from the physical fact that they cannot live without looting and blooding Ethiopia to its slow death.

What you wrote here is a complete misguided representation of the people of Tigray at large. There is no such a culture of raising a child with live for today by robbing others in Tigray. I have been there for about 4 years and the people are decent and desciplined unlike you arrogant Amharas. Did you notice that merchants in the open market of Mekelle never take their good to their home unlike what we have in Addis or Bahirdar where you can’t even close your eyes for a second, leave alone leaving your merchandise in the market place overnight.
It is one thing to criticise the ruling party for its draconian laws and failed policies but it is another thing to mislabel the whole people of the region. Isn’t is a hasty stupid generalization to give such a comprhensive opinion about the people of Tigray after being there for only two weeks? I guess you were in Mekelle which isn’t even a good representative of the people of the region, because the cityis of full Tigrian greedy elites like your voracious Amhara elites in Bahiradr, Gonder or Dessie. If you want to have a clear insight, you should have gone few kilometres out of Mekelle to the North and see how decent the farmers of Tigray are. But you started your observation with the closed mind of abhorrence which will apparently influence your conclusion.
When you try to make an observation about a given society, your sound reasoning and judgement (if you have one) should overtake your odium.

I am not Amhara, if there is such a thing as Amhara at all. The identity called Amhara does nto exist except in the mind of the parochial Tigre. I am a proud mixed Gurage/Kestane and Oromo stock from Butajira. In fact I am a critique of the Amahra. I am sickened to death with the empty bravado of the Amahra who live in the ivory tower of western mteropolis and do nothing. I can assure that I was an objective and dispassionate observor of the Tigray people. I have been to Shire, Adwa, Makale, Wuqro Marai, Adigrat and Aksum. Incidentally, for the ignorant Tigre anyone who speaks Amharic language is Amahra. I was mistaken for Amhara just because I speak Amhara. What I have obvesrved in Tigray is that life is brutish and nature is not generous. This had deeply shaped the charcter of the people. They donot have a standard of living, for mere existence is considered as a standrad by itself. This explains why the weyane bleeds Ethiopia to death. Donot tell me that the Tigre are not looting the Gurage, the oromo, the Amahra and the south. You cannot hide the fact that you have more schools, hospitals and power supply than other parts of Ethiopia. Donot tell me also that the Amahra had benfited from past regimes. I have been to Gondar, and Wallo and the days I spent in these provinces were the happiest moments of my life. The people are smiling, joking and you had a feel of Ethiopianess. There are many Tigre in Gondar, Bahir Dar and Dessie and Gurage. But I found no Amhara, no Gurage and Oromo in Tigre. Now Kilil is the order of the day and what I beg the Tigre is to go to their home province and leave us alone. The parochialism of the Tigre stems from the fact that there are no people Tigre in their midst. The best solution for Ethiopia is therefore to expell the Tigre from Addis Ababa and from Amhara and from the south. Donot tell us that the bigger idea of Ethiopan nationalism is not shared by the Gurage. We have heroes like Bekele Waya, and Garasu Duki who paid the ultimate sacrifice to Ethiopia. I am ready to be convinced otherwise and if I am speaking false, my hands to God, I will give my neck to the noose.
These are the hard facts that Satenaw needs to confront.

I have never been ashamed of my identity as today! I think the time should be now to work for mission for a greater cause to the future hildren of Ethiopia. Our life is screwed up by the Woyane TPLF military junta. I don’t want to die ashamed. This brutality should end!

Tigreans should take cotrol of Ethiopia and Eritrea by overthrowing Meles Zenawi. Eritrea is a group of districts that has been part of tigray province of Ethiopia. why did they secede “Eritrea”? Why do Tigray people loose their own ports Massawa and Assab?
It is time that tigrean elites reorganize and shoulder the responsiblity of defending the pre-1991 boundary of Ethiopia.

Tateku, do you recognized that too many tigray-weyane tagadaly fought for shabiya in 1990 on massawa battle field? more than 1500 tigray tegadaly killed during the 10 days fight. this is ridiculous and shame on tigray people. in ancient Ethiopian history, they were leading foreign invaders to others Ethiopian places.
Ethiopian people must be doing a refurndum about the tigray people to be independence from the rest of our nation, until they must stop to be enemy, parasite to all.

You put it correctly in the way most of the Ethiopians may put it if they get the chance . የአማራው የጨለማ ዘመን ከአገራችን ላይ ላንዴና ለመጨረሻ ጊዜ መንኮታኮቱ እጅግ በጣም እረፍት ከመሆኑም በላይ ለወደፊቱ ትውልድ የምትመች አገር ልትሆን እንደምትችል አሁን ተስፋ አለን :: አማራዎቹ ስላለፉት ዘመናት ታሪካቸው (ያውም የውሸት ታሪክ!) ይጨነቁ :: የተቀረው የአገሪቱ ህዝብ ግን እጅ ለእጅ ተያይዞ ዲሞክራሲ እንዲሰፍን መታገል አለበት :: ለአማሮች አንድ መልእክት አለኝ “እውነትንና ችግርን መፍራት አያዋጣም ;መጋፈጥ እንጅ” :: ኢትዮጵያ ለዘላለም ትኑር !

Here we go again!!
first it is not a new discovery that nature is not generous to Tigray and you don’t need to go to Tigray to acquire this conventional knowledge. But what I don’t buy from you is, your assertion that the natural generally environment shapes the behavior of the people. If I accept your assertion for the sake of argument, majority of the Amhara region (according to the contemporary political map of Ethiopia), is not by far better than Tigray , but Kokeb has the haapiest moments of his life in these areas. Is nature that generous in Korem, Alamata, Lalibela, Gayint, Guba Lafto etc? I don’t think so… but you still claim people living in these areas are full of smile, joking … despite the cruelity of nature to them. This makes your argument fallacious.
Just for your information, I am neither Tigre nor Amhara. What I believe is every ethnic group is its own strengths and drawbacks. But the way you guys are trying to label the Tigrians is not fair and right. Should the people of Tigray be blamed for the simple reason that Meles and his friends are building Roads, Hospitals etc to alienate the people of Tigray from the rest of Ethiopia? Can the people of Tigray stop thhose constructions (if at all stopping the construcxtion is the right thing to do)? Come on let us be fair when we blame other? What would you guys do if the rulers are developing only the Amhara region only ,do you tell the government to do justice to the other regions (I don’t think so).
I can take if you say the regions should be developed according to what they contribute to the GDP of the country.
Kokeb, why should Amharas, Gurages or Oromos go to Tigray? Tigray is not even contributing 5% to the GDP of Ethiopia. It is pretty obvious that more than 90% of the GDP is coming from Oromia and the South. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying Amharas or Gurages have no right to live in Tigray, what I am saying is there is nothing to attract them in to Tigray.
Any way… if we learn to tolerate and respect other, the to topple the Tyrant Meles Zenawi will not be that far.

That would be fine,better they stay where they are and do not infect others with their poison of hatred. this tigres are such a burden no society in this world would be ready to accept,they are a burden because they destructive and harmful to society. Look, what these people did in the past 18 years, they attempted to make Ethiopia a second tigray, oh god forbid,what a horrific idea. And no wonder that Ethiopia under their rule is such a terrible place. imagine these people have also tarnished Ethiopia’s image abroad intentionally. These people tried to ethnically cleanse regions ,they brought the culture of beggarism,hatred,robbery, brutality etc.
They are also not very smart and farsighted and have managed to make everyone in the horn of Africa their enemy, imagine a kind of famine like in 1977 hit them ( the whole world knows these pictures of tigres as they were filmed in the tigray town of korem ) i am not sure if anyone in neighbouring regions and countries will be ready to help them in view of what they have done to them in the last 18 years, Ethiopians,Somalis and Eritrea were all their victims. Some reports say that the tigres have killed 6 million Ethiopians in the last 18 years, 6 million, that is horrific !

ወያኔዎች ታላቋ ትግራይን ለመመስረት ትናንሽ ሃገራትን “እስከመገንጠል” በሚለው ፖሊሲና የዚህ ብሔር ነጻ አውጭ በሚል መዋቅር ሕዝባችንን እያባሉት ሲሆን: የነቃው ሕብረተሰብ ግን ወያኔን በሃይል ለማስወገድ ” ኢትዮጵያ ወይም ሞት ብሎ እይተንቀሳቀሰ ነው::
