Washington – Sunday, September 13th, thousands of March 4 Freedom supporters held a very successful demonstration in front of the Capitol Hill in Washington. The March was a resounding success.
In a demonstration where almost the entire Ethiopian people were represented , thousands of Ethiopian Americans demanded the US government to do more to end the dictatorship, war crimes and genocide in Ethiopia and denounced the ruling tribal dictators who have held power now for more than 17 years who continue to be responsible for ethnic conflicts that claimed countless lives, brutal suppression, mass killings, disappearances, detentions, political persecutions of opposition, civic society and the free press.
The Marchers also demanded, the actions of Ethiopia’s tribal rulers are threatening the economic progress and stability in the region and thereby affecting the interests of United States and Ethiopia. Therefore the US government must
make human rights central to U.S. relations and must restrict that the use of tax payer’s money from being spent in ways that help support authoritarian regimes, such as in Ethiopia.
ask for the immediate and unconditional release all prisoners of conscience detained in Ethiopia, including Mrs Birtukan Mideksa (Chairwomen of the Unity and Democracy J), human rights defenders and independent journalists.
demand that Ethiopian rulers recognize and respect the rights to freedom of speech, assembly, association and press freedom and respect the international and regional human rights treaties to which Ethiopia is party and demand to remove the Draconian laws against press freedom, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and terrorism that are turning Ethiopia into a police state.
Over 3200 petition signatures calling to stop Genocide and War Crimes in Ethiopia and to shape the US foreign policy towards Africa were collected.

Not really!. The reason the BS march with new phrases like “Ethiopia/East Africa” in a politically correct way of accommodating OLF/ONLF has become a turn-off. Ethiopians and Ethiopian Americans want woyane to thrive if these LF people don’t want to get it.

Addis radio has done a diservice by announcing a wrong place and time of the march.A lot of people were forced to go back after wating infront of the white house@12:00

I call it we hit the pavement of Capitol Hill. A big fiasco indeed. Leave the march to be organized by us the commoners and forget the elites. They are only for the talking.

Why do u want EMF to lie?
There were not thousands of Ethiopians only hundreds.
Even Obang has wrote only many not to say to mention his failure that he would collect 100,000 people.
Please it is better so EMF to say at least many bc Obang himself stated that there were not thousand of Ethiopians.
I thought there would be thousands of Ethiopians bc u were highly exaggerating it but I think most of the Ethiopians know that u r lying.
So stop lying and tell the truth to the people.
I had been in Ethiopia last year and there are not things as what u mention in there.
Ofcurse I know that there is no that much freedom in that country but there is no as such genocide. Those who has killed many Oromos in the gamble region has been sentenced to death. So I donot think that the government made genocide.
U could convince the world that the government in Ethiopians is not allowing fair election but u can not say that it is making genocide.
I was surprised that u did not post any news on sunday bc I think it was ashame that only hundreds had been there.

So, the much hyped “march for freedom” gathering turned out to be a bust! It is a clear indication that the Ethiopian diaspora is useless– clueless– worthless– and hopeless. Oh! did i mention gutless! On the other hand, having a demonstration day in/ day out has proven to be a failed strategy. Nothing good comes out of it. The only way to shore up support from the Ethiopian diaspora is by taking decisive action against Woyane. We need to back up the talk by walking the walk. We can organize demonstrations every day of the year with no concrete outcome other than becoming the laughingstock of Woyane and its goons. A couple of hits on Woyanes strongholds– from the so-called freedom fighters–can do wonders to the psyche of the Ethiopian diaspora.
Where is GINBOT 7 ? Where is EPPF ? We need some kind of at least symbolic action that can ignite the struggle further and stronger. If these groups can hit a couple of hard targets in Woyane’s safety zone, or better yet, manage to eliminate a couple of Woyane’s fat cats–rest assured to increase the diaspora support ten fold. We are tired of demonstrations that don’t hold water. It is time for action.

Now it is time that Ethiopian people would never going back and start looking forward to fight those who are killing the country and the generation too. This rediness will lead the us to glorious victory at the end, but, every one of us bear in mind that the ongoing process need our sacrification. Let us prepare ourselves for bitter struggle to see the bright future afterwards.
