EMF (13 August 2009) The renowned Ethiopian pop star, Tewodros Kassahun (aka Teddy Afro) is released today, EMF source confirmed. Our source also said Teddy was cheered by thousands of joyous fans while he was freed from the notorious prison. The 32-year-old singer was found guilty of manslaughter for the death of 18-year-old Degu Yibelte in a hit-and-run incident two years ago.Teddy Afro denied the charge saying he was out of the country on the night Degu Yibelte died.

I hope he will continue to use his fame and talent to awaken the need for coming together and fight to eradicate the buthcher Meles and his gangs. His first hand testimony about their brutality and his plea for reconcilliation will help the fragmented opposition to stop their nonsense act and focus on their fight against the enemy of Ethiopia which is TPLF. We love Teddy’s songs, but he is like any other Ethiopian. Whilst we cheer up on his release we commemorate the late Degu Yibeltal as well. He was no more no less than Teddy. A piece of advice to Teddy - Please don’t get carried away and don’t be an instrument - stick to your Profession!

Please all guys, have we ever looked to ourselves. Talking is cheap. Be practical! Every thing that suppose to be done also concerned each of us, there is no job will be left for others if we want to see a better Ethiopia for our children. Let’s ask ourselves, what I ever did more than criticizing or blessing others to my country In what ever means? Is Ethiopia left to few people like Birtukan and many others who are languishing in a prison? Whom we are expecting especial service from those? I am doing something that I can, just don’t under estimate the contribution that you make. It has an effect, when it is going to in a group also more. Help one of practical parties or alert people around you not to be a tool for woyane. Do something! We shouldn’t stop cheering by Teddy’s release. In the first place our natural freedome was taken.

We are happy Teddy is free. My advice to Teddy is to get out of the contry for sometime and study in one of the prestigious universities in Europe or USA. Ethiopia needs Teddy. Teddy might lead Ethiopia to freedom and economic liberation. Whatever the future maybe, Teddy is well off to study Law or Economics or Political Science to lead Ethiopia to a better future.
