Genève, 16 May 2009 - A five member delegation of the International Network against Repression and Injustice has discussed with the UN high commission for human rights, Ms. Justice Navanethem Pillay in Genève on Friday, May 15 as part of worldwide campaign against injustice.
Her Excellency Justice Navanethem Pillay is the very person to whom the Genocide Watch president Dr Gregory Stanton wrote a letter urging her to investigate the genocide case in Ethiopia.
The delegation discussed with Navanethem Pillay on the prevailing thorny political environment in Ethiopia, about the letter of Genocide watch, the issue of political prisoners in Ethiopia and the illegal detention of Judge Birtukan Mideksa and artist Tewodros Kassahun.
The delegation presented a letter prepared by the Swiss branch of the Network endorsing Genocide watch request and urging the high commissioner to expedite the process.
Another 3 member delegation met high level officials at the UNITED STATES DIPLOMATIC MISSION IN GENEVA and briefed them on today’s world wide protest and the current political climate in Ethiopia. The delegation also handed the letter that the network wrote to president Obama.
Ethiopians from all over Switzerland came to GENEVA wearing the national flag and carrying slogans denouncing the Meles regime. They gathered in front of the UN head quarter and protested despite a heavy rain shower that kept drizzling for the whole afternoon. Demonstrators braved the odd weather, chanting slogans and singing songs.
Then the demonstrators marched to the office of the UN HIGH COMISSION FOR REFUGIES to hand over a letter on the plight of asylum seekers in Switzerland.
The march continued to the office of the UN HIGH COMMISSION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS to once again emphasize the points raised during the discussion with the High commissioner.

Ethiopians should be smart enough to exploit the conflict between the EPLF and TPLF to their advantage. It is now the right time for the EPLF to attack and destroy the TPLF since the non-tigre parts of the weyanne army will either surrender or turn their guns against the TPLF.
The Ethiopian opposition should be courageous enough to inform the country`s public to stay out of the conflict and instead focus on expelling the ethno-fascists from Ethiopia. Ethiopians have paid tremendous sacrifices under the command of the ethno-fascists to liberate some rocky god forsaken land from the EPLF which Meles Zenawi has given back. On the other hand, the ethno-fascist Meles Zenawi has given away fertile and rich Ethiopian land to the Sudan as part of a land for security deal between his regime and the Sudan. Ethiopians who have died in hundreds of thousands for the rocky and useless Badme have done nothing to stop the give away of their fertile land to the Sudan. However, the Ormos will not give up to defend their land against any form of take or give away by the ethno-fascists. The Oromos will not respect any agreement or pact the illegitmate regime of the ethno-fascists has entered into with any side.

Such news tarnishes the ethiopian nation as a whole. The ethiopian government should take action against the officials in the UN. Ethiopia should not allow such humuliation. Ethiopia should demand that the UN officials who are collaborationg with the opposition with the charge of genocide should be relieved of their responsiblities.
The Opposition is acting as zombies, who react to any news without any criticism. This is very bad for our country as a whole. We have to expose the wrong policies of the government in power. But accusing the authorities of genocide is in itself a crime. There has been no genocide in Ethiopia. I am not woyane supporter. I am not for false propoganda that tarnshes our nation as whole.
