Sudanese based Addis and Libya based Shimelis join Walia camp

Sudanese based Addis Hintsa and Libya based Shimelis Bekele joined the Ethiopian national team camp at the prestigious Inter Continental hotel ahead of the weekend do or die second leg World Cup 2014 playoff game against Nigeria Super Eagles in Calabar.

The team has intensified its training under coach Sewnet Bishaw and the arrival of the two foreign based players added depth to the team that is working hard to turn the 1-2 lose against Nigeria in the first leg.

Another Finish based star Fuad Ibrahim has been with the team for two weeks. Prolific striker Getaneh Kebede who has missed two crucial game because of a nagging ankle injury was to travel to Addis Ababa on Sunday after his South African side Bidvets Wits lost 2-1 to Kaizer Chiefs in the PSL.

All time scorer Salhadin Said who is expected on Tuesday also saw his side Wadi Degla lose 3-0 to Zamalek in the Egyptian premier league.

Coach Sewnet Bishaw has been taking the players through their paces despite missing out on important friendly matches which were cancelled at the last minute .
