Ethiopia is facing a violent protest in the Amhara regional capital Gonder over the question of identity of the Welkait and Tegede people.

By TesfaNews,

Ethiopia is facing a violent protest in the Amhara regional capital Gonder over the question of identity of the Welkait and Tegede people. So far six civilians and four police officer reportedly killed.

Like the Oromo protests that rocked the Oromia region few months ago while resulting the killing of over 400 protesters, the Amhara protests that just broke out today in Gonder also involves state appropriation of land. It is about annexation and the forceful imposition of Tigre identity up on the Amhara people of Welkait, Tegede, Telemt and Armachiho.

Twenty five years ago, when the government led by the Tigray Liberation Front (TPLF) introduced a federal system of administration in the country based on language, the people of Welkait and Tegede, who are predominantly Amhara and speaksAmharic, have been forced to be administered under the Tigrai regional authority despite their strong objection.

A committee that was set up since to advance the voice of these Amhara people had pleaded the government all along to respect their Amhara identity as well as return their annexed land back under the Amhara regional government. But, all their efforts were in vain.

Inspired by the recent Oromo uprising, the question of Amhara identity raised by the people of Welkait, Tegede and Telemt become a sensitive and urgent matter among the entire Amhara population.

The ongoing protest in Gonder, however, started after Tigray regional police attempted to arrest the lead member of the Amhara identity committee member, Col. Demeke Zewdu, disguised as federal police.

Hundreds of Amhara protesters then went to the streets in protest, chanting an end to Tigray annexation of Amhara land as well as an end to a minority Tigre rule in Ethiopia.

The protesters resisted the arrest of their leader by blocking all roads leading to Col. Demeke Zewdu’s residence and when resisted by armed police, they start attacking vehicles and businesses that are affiliated to the ruling TPLF.

As always, the paranoid regime start blaming Eritrea for the violent protest.

    ISrael’s visit is not benign – don’t be fooled! Look at the brutal hunting of traditional Surma tibe of the Omo Valley who are protesting against the ISrael-EPRDF sugar project. See – http://www.zehabesha.com/israels-hapoalim-leads-financing-for-netafim-project-in-ethiopia/ , Israel’s Hapoalim leads financing for Netafim project in Ethiopia, March 7, 2016.

    But actually, such land-grabbing in Omo Valley or elsewhere, is due to the massive OIL & GAS discovered in the Kenya-Ethiopia Tertiary Rift, which stretches from southern Ethiopia to South-western Kenya, particularly in the South Omo Basin (and also in the Ogaden Basin) – see http://oilprice.com/Energy/Crude-Oil/Africas-Next-Oil-Frontier-Ethiopia.html , Africa’s Next Oil Frontier – Ethiopia?, By John Daly – Feb 26, 2014; and at – http://www.awib.org.et/currency/news/item/322-oil-reserve-in-ethiopia-may-hold-up-to-2-7-billion-barrels.html, Oil reserve in Ethiopia may hold up to 2.7 billion barrels, Source: Muluken Yewondwossen.

    Thus, it is suspected this is also the main reason why the most evil minority Tigray ethnic-dominated ruling regime is trying to cause another man-made ‘Famine’ i.e. Genocide between 2015-until now (as of the massive 1970s and 1980’s Famines), in order to continue its Zionist’s Depopulation agenda, especially targeting resisting majority non-Tigray Indigenous Muslim/Catholic-Orthodox/pagan ethnic groups , especially traditional and rural communities (is it any wonder then why Genocidal ISrael is worshipped by the regime?)! Is this why the EPRDF regime is also seeking WHO’s Directorship – maybe to launch Biowarfare terrorism in the future and murderous Zionist–made Vaccines, in order to further its Depopulation agenda?;

    See the hidden Genocide that include mass rape, false imprisonment, torture and land/livelihood robbery of the non-Tigray Indigenous peoples, suspected to be covered up under the guise of supposedly El-Nino ‘Famine’ and ‘anti- Islamic Terrorism’ wars especially in the Amhara, Oromia (especially the Omo Valley) and the Somali (Ogaden) regions in Ethiopia (thus it is suspected the Al-Shaabab ‘Islamic’ terrorist group is formed by CIA/Mossad, in order to depopulate the Indigenous Somali Muslims and dominate the massively oil/gas-rich Somalia and especially, the Somali-Ogaden Basin in Ethiopia) – at ;http://www.redressonline.com/2016/01/famine-and-government-neglect-in-ethiopia , Famine and government neglect in Ethiopia, 10th January 2016 ; and at – http://www.redressonline.com/2015/01/state-terrorism-in-ethiopias-ogaden-region/ ,State terrorism in Ethiopia’s Ogaden region, 10th January 2015!

    See also the ruling Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) regime’s flag – eerily almost similar to the ISrael’s flag!
