Joanna who studied her secondary education in Dandi Boru and now a student at the Addis Abeba University has been separated from her everyday  friends, accorded her own chauffeur and security.  In cautions of safety, Jonna is now receiving similar protection and security protocol that Semhal Meles, daughter of the late Prime Minster was given.  Meles Zenawi’s Chief of Protocol has now began grooming Joanna.

Hailemariam said in a 2010 interview that he came back to Ethiopia because of family — his daughter had been born when he was leaving the country. Haile Mariam Desalegne is an Ethiopian politician who has served in the government of Ethiopia as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs since     2010.
