German tourists freed in Ethiopia

Ethiopian rebels have released two German tourists they had been holding since January, six weeks after they killed five other German nationals who had been ambushed in Afar desert.

The militants from the self-styled United Revolutionary Democratic Front of Afar apologized to the surviving tourists before handing them over to local elders.
