Ethiopian midfielder Shemeles Bekele joined Sudan giants Al Mereikh

Ethiopian midfielder Shemeles Bekele has joined Sudan giants Al Mereikh on a three year deal.

Shemeles who spoke exclusively to supersport.com after signing the deal that moved him from Libyan side Al Ittihad intimated that he was excited ready to work hard in his new club which he described as a dream come true.

“I am delighted to have joined Al Mereikh a team that has great history and tradition. My career has been progressing well and I believe I took a good step to go to Sudan in a club with great players and ambition.”

“I have signed a three year deal that has satisfied me after we agreed on all modalities including my personal terms which they met satisfactorily,” Shemeles told supersport.com.

Shemeles played an integral part in Ethiopia World cup qualifiers that ended in Nigeria after losing in the play off in Calabar.
